J. L. BEAVERS, sworn for the State.

I am Chief of Police of the City of Atlanta. I was at the pencil factory

on Tuesday, April 29th, and saw what I took to be a splotch of blood

on the floor right near this little dressing room on office floor, seemed to

be as big as a quarter in the center and scattered out in the direction of

this room near the door. There was one spot and some others scattered

around that.

CROSS EXAMINATION.

It may have been Monday that I was at the pencil factory. I don't know whether it was blood or not. It looked like blood.
